Well, just got off the horn with Skwerl, and Emerald City Comic Con seems to have gone fairly well. I'll let him appraise you of all the details, but the names out there in the open and hopefully we'll begin to grow as a website. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth. Even if you didn't like what you saw, or didn't buy the merch, we're grateful you took the time to take a look.

So, you're probably wondering about the merchandise. Skwerl's official tally of sold items were 15 "Adventures of Phischman" comics, 2 "Wiik Sauce" posters, and 2 original drawings (no clue what of, but I'm sure he'll let you know). None of the shirts sold (boo-hoo!).

But! If you weren't at the Con, or you were but couldn't afford any of the merch, fear not! Within the next day or so, a new and improved Stink Child Comics store will launch, and the remains of the store merchandise will be available online, with more to come in the future.

Again, thanks to everyone who came. If you're new to the site, we really hope you enjoy the site. I may be posting up primers to appraise everyone of everything (at least for Wiik Sauce) soon, to help you quickly jump in. Feel free to reach out to us either via e-mail or in comments. And why not join the forums while you're here? Sure, they're a little slow, but before you know it you can create your own community.

Skwerl has just informed me he met Kris Straub, writer of a billion web comics and friend of PvP, at ECCC, who not only recognized the SCC brand (Skwerl frequents his forums), but reads the site.

Holy crap, that's kinda awesome.

    Yeah, in one of the Stinkasts, Racoon said “Fuck Scott Kurtz and that other bloke (Straub)” after hearing a Daily Affirmation he didn’t like. To which I immediately jumped in to explain that the opinions of Racoon do not reflect those of Stink Child Comics (Namely ME) who is a big fan of both Scott Kurtz and Kris Straub as well as Dave Kellett and Brad Guigar, the members of the HalfPixel.com gang.
