New Comics…New Style?

NEW Wiik Sauce

I have a question for you guys...

After reading some recent PVP and finding a comic called Sequential Art , I've suddenly found myself reexamining the designs of our characters.

PVP, as part of their 10 Year overhaul of the comic, aged their characters Francis and Marcy. That was the first thing that had me thinking. Then I found myself really enjoying the art in Sequential Art and wanting to do a style like that only with less furries.

Don't get me wrong, I love the style I use and I've just, in the past year or so, gotten comfortable enough with it where the characters don't shift sizes and shapes dramatically from frame to frame. And maybe that's part of the problem, I feel like I've mastered this style, I've slayed that dragon. What challenge can I tackle next? But I wanna know what you guys think.

I've seen the site hits and I KNOW people look at this web page, even if they don't necessarily interact. But now I'm asking, that they give legitimate feedback. Do you enjoy the style as-is? Or do you think it could do with a change? A quick change? Or a slow evolutionary change? Do you want examples of where I'm planning on going? Or do you trust that I know what to do with the strips? Should I stop with all this "Style Change" Jibber Jabber all together?

Let me know...

    Quit your jibber-jabber, jive turkey!

Also, where should people leave their responses? Over the past few weeks, you and Chris have written some form of the phrase “join the forums” in your posts. This post seems to lack that directive.
Consider creating a topic in the forums for art-style change discussion and link to it at the end of your post. “Let me know…” becomes “Let me know on the forums” with the whole line being a hyperlink to that forum topic.

    Cheers, Jeb.

Y’see, Jebby. When I ask for feedback like this, I figure the comments here are a fine place to do it. No real need to make a forum topic on it. As soon as I work out some sort of new design sketches, I’ll put those in the forums and let people discuss those..
