So the story goes like this…
Back in September 2001, the Stink Children were just starting our junior year of high school. My first period of the day was called “Recourse class” which was a glorified study hall. We sit, do homework we didn’t do at home, and if we don’t have homework than we are to look like we’re doing something constructive. While killing time, Skwerl decided to draw Willy as a badly drawn cartoon character. Then he did Jeb and David. Then Phisch and Da Matt. Then Moose and Chan. Just playing around. Later that day however, he showed Jeb the drawing of Willy saying “Who’s this?” Jeb immediately recognized it and get really excited, more than he should have, about these caricatures.

A couple days went by and he came to Skwerl with a comic drawn using stick figures and told Skwerl he wanted it drawn using the Jeb cartoon character. Skwerl did it, just as something to do to kill time. More comics soon followed. Eventually the idea was brought up about putting the comics on the internet. As none of them had jobs or money they were forced to put the comics on a free web host and found Angelfire. They named the site Stink Child Comics, and they became the Stink Children after a quote from “Invader Zim” a cartoon show they all enjoyed.

Eventually, in 2003, they all graduated and split off to do different things. Skwerl went to animation school, Da Matt and Jeb went to tech school. Willy and Chan went into the military. Phisch tried music school and Moose lived under a bridge eating any unfortunate hobos that wondered by.

Skwerl still drew the characters, trying to refine them, even though he wasn’t doing comics with them anymore he still wanted to do something with them in the future. In 2005 he got a message from Da Matt. Da Matt was taking a web design class and was looking to restart Stink Child Comics. Skwerl agreed to draw it if Da Matt wrote it. They only did a couple comics, not really updating with any frequency until 2006 when Skwerl graduated, moved home and finally found himself with a lot of time to work on the comics.

Through 2006 and 2007 they not only got to hang out with the crew again, but also found some new people to bring into the fold in Racoon and Chris, who have come up with comic projects of their own. And that brings us to today.
