Well, I hope everyone had a good Lightsaber Day and will remember to send in their pictures or videos!

Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get to work and left my Lightsaber at home. So I didn’t really get to play along but I’m constructing something I hope to get going for next years Lightsaber Day, I’ll let you all know when we get closer to that date. 365 days till the next! Better start shopping for gifts now!

On the plus side, a fan from Stuttgart, Germany sent us a picture of him celebrating Lightsaber day. Thanks to Falk Ebert!

I’ll have the cards I want you to pass out drawn up and on the site later today. I would have had them by now except that a whole ton of shit came my way this weekend, on top of poor planning and..well…yall don’t wanna hear me bitch.

Just rest assured that they’ll be up before tomorrow so that you can hand them to the poor unsuspecting people. Scare the crap out of them, yet, hopefully, spread the word about Stink Child Comics and Lightsaber Day so that we’ll have even more people next year.

The greatest thing about ComicPress is that when I don’t feel like writing posts for whatever reason, tonight’s being that I’m just dog-ass tired, is that I can just say “Do it for me” and it’ll make a comic post without me writing any kind of blog or comment about it.

So for the right now, they’re just whatever ComicPress creates when you check the “Create Post” box. When I get some rest I’ll come in and fix them. But the comics are ready for reading and that’s the important part so go forth and giggle.

Also, we’re working on a “Stinkipedia”.   Its…probably going to be a lot of work.  So if you want to submit something, why not shoot me a line at christopher@stinkchildcomics.com and let me know what you’d like to make an article about.  There’s no pay, of course, but you’ll get the joy of knowing you created part of a masterpiece.

This has always been a problem with me. I don’t have anything of any substance to say in these posts and I really feel that I should. But I lead a very boring life other than working on the comics so usually by the time new comics are done, all I have to say is. "Hey guys, read the comics."

Speaking of comics, I’ve been working on "Gotham High," trying to get a good deal of them done before we put them up on the site. There are a few over at my Deviant Art page but I’ve put posting them on hold until I get more done and figure out a way to get a consistent update schedule for it.

The same goes for another project I’ve been working on called "Squared Circle" which is a revisiting of a project that Phisch and I conceptualized back in high school. I know I really don’t need another project on my plate, but I was looking at the comics we have. SCC is based on my friends and I, or more how we were in high school. Toon Town is just that with other peoples’ characters thrown in the mix. Wiik Sauce is again a couple friends and other peoples’ characters. Gotham high is all DC’s characters. I wanted to tackle something that was more original than those as I’m just waiting for that angry email from someone’s attorney telling me to stop doing the comics.

I was working on today’s comics when I was informed of the unfortunate news that one of the best stand-up comedians of all time had passed away. George Carlin.

I remember being a youngling, watching "Thomas the Tank Engine" where he was Mr. Conductor. It was kind of a jarring shock to turn on one of his specials and hear the profanity laden, anti-everything rants. However, after the initial shock of hearing the benevolent Mr Conductor yelling "COCKSUCKER" I quickly learned what a comedic genius he truly was, and I believe that was also the beginning part of my love for the art of stand-up and comedy itself.

According to reports he was taken to the hospital yesterday, complaining of chest pains, and passed away later in the day of heart failure at 71 years old. With his history of drug use and heart attacks, it’s a wonder he lived to 71.

Saddened by the news of his passing, I feel I should thank him for the years of laughter. His work has inspired many of the current, younger generation of comedians, and, in-part my own work.

We’ll miss you George. And thanks again.
